How WWE Should Book...

John Cena vs The Undertaker

Wrestlemania 32

My story starts at Wrestlemania 32 so it's kind of how they should have booked but mostly how they should so just go with it. Shane McMahon and The Undertaker are having their battle inside Hell in a Cell. Shane jumps off the cell and misses The Undertaker, who then carries Shane back in to the ring where he hits the Tombstone Piledriver and pins him 1 2 3. The Undertaker begins to walk up the ramp as Shane receives medical attention as he should being a 46 year old man who just jumped off a 20 foot cell. Undertaker stops halfway from the stage, then turns around and begins walking back to the ring. He grabs a microphone and says "Vince...I'm not your bitch."

Undertaker steps back in to the ring and tosses aside all the medical staff. He starts beating on Shane again. Vince McMahon then comes out but runs right in to a chokeslam from The Undertaker. Undertaker picks Shane up and is about to hit him with another Tombstone Piledriver when John Cena's music hits. Cena sprints down to the ring and Undertaker drops Shane. When John Cena slides in to the ring the two go at it and start beating the hell out of each other.
Undertaker however assumes control of the fight and Cena is momentarily stunned. Undertaker wraps his hand around Cena's throat, but when he picks him up Cena leap frogs Taker and picks him up for the Attitude Adjustment. He hits his finisher and raises his hands in dominance.

Royal Rumble 2017

Fast forward to the Royal Rumble pay per view and we haven't seen Undertaker since Wrestlemania 32. Since then John Cena has won the World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam against Roman Reigns and is still locked in a feud with him. At Royal Rumble John Cena succesfully defended the title against Roman Reigns due to a double count out that was caused by Roman Reigns getting carried away with beating up Cena. It ends in a double count out so there's still a main event worthy match for Fastlane and the matches stay interesting because every time Roman comes close to winning the title back Seth Rollins steals the victory from him.

The Royal Rumble match is the main event and there's only one entrant left to enter. There are four men left in the ring; Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, and Kane. Kane was dominating until the other three men began to gang up on him. The clock starts counting down and when the buzzer beeps only one sound can be heard...*Gong*. The lights go out.

Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, and Dean Ambrose were all facing the entrance ramp awaiting who they now knew was The Undertaker. However when the lights emerged back on The Undertaker was standing behind the three men. The Undertaker eliminates Sami Zayn as Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler turn around in shock. The Undertaker runs at them but Dean Ambrose rolls out the way, However Dolph was eliminated. Then Kane gets up and begins a stare down with his brother, The Undertaker. As they fight Kane gets hit and is leaning against the ropes as Ambrose comes out of nowhere and eliminates him. So the final two are Dean Ambrose and The Undertaker.

The two fight for at least another ten minutes and during that time there are many close calls for eliminations. The fight comes to a climax when Undertaker goes to chokeslam Dean Ambrose out the ring but Ambrose holds on to his arm and pulls him out on to the apron. The two exchange blows on the apron until The Undertaker grasps Dean's throat once again in an attempt to eliminate him via chokeslam again. However when The Undertaker lifts Ambrose, John Cena comes out of nowhere from the inside of the ring and pulls Dean back in. Undertaker swipes at Cena who dodges then out of nowhere Ambrose drop kicks Undertaker right in the face, eliminating him and crowning himself the winner of the Royal Rumble. This also marks the first shades of Cena's heel turn.

Fastlane 2017

At Fastlane the main event is John Cena vs Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Title. Since Cena is supposed to kind of be a heel now it never looks like he's going to win until Seth Rollins interferes. So again, Roman is setting up to spear Cena when Seth Rollins' music hits and he runs out. A furious and distracted Roman Reigns swears at Seth but turns around to an Attitude Adjustment from John Cena.

Right as Cena is about to pin Roman Reigns *Gong* the lights go out. When the lights come back on Seth Rollins is being choked by The Undertaker who them performs a chokeslam. John Cena begins yelling at both The Undertaker and the referee to eject him when he gets hit with a Superman Punch from Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns then hits John Cena with the spear 1 2 3. Roman Reigns is the new World Heavyweight Champion. Whilst celebrating Roman gets attacked from behind by Cena, but Cena is quickly scooped up by The Undertaker who delivers a deadly Tombstone Piledriver.

Raw

The Raw after Fastlane, John Cena comes out. He begins to scream at the booing crowd yelling "I was screwed!" He says it's all The Undertaker's fault and that if it wasn't for him he'd still be the champion. He then called Undertaker out, calling him by his real name to make this rivalry feel really personal. He says "Undertaker...or should I say Mark, GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE!"

*Gong*

The Undertaker comes out and when he finishes his entrance looks Cena right in the eyes. John Cena stares right back until he brings the microphone to his mouth and says "Mark, everyone around here is sick and tired of you. They're sick and tired of this act you have, this game you play. That's why I'm going to be the one to get rid of you. At Wrestlemania 33 I want to face you...in a career match. If I win YOU GO HOME."

Undertaker swipes the mic from Cena and slowly said "everyone around here is actually sick and tired of you being the poster boy for this company when you're not as talented as half of the guys here. You got your match Cena, but if I win...you go home."
Cena grabs the mic back "You're on" he drops the mic and walks out.

Wrestlemania 33

John Cena vs The Undertaker, career vs career. It's the semi main event, the main event was developed earlier as a Shield Triple Threat for the World Heavyweight Championship between Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins. However John Cena vs The Undertaker starts with a video package highlighting the events of last Wrestlemania, then the Royal Rumble, Fastlane and finally the making of the match on Raw. The video ends with a gong, and The Undertaker makes his entrance. John Cena interrupts right as Undertaker is pulling off his hat which draws more heat. John Cena makes his entrance.

It's a long match to make them both seem like warriors. A lot of shocking spots until the match comes to a climax. The Undertaker sets up Cena for the Tombstone Piledriver after a chokeslam and hits the piledriver. 1 2 John Cena kicks out. Undertaker is shocked but goes up to the top rope to attempt a swanton bomb. When he jumps though Cena rolls out the way and picks up Taker. He hits him with the Attitude Adjustment. 1 2 Undertaker kicks out. John Cena, looking frustrated picks up The Undertaker and flips him over for a Tombstone Piledriver of his own. He hits it. 1 2 Undertaker kicks out again. Cena picks him up and lifts him on his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment. He looks right at the camera and says "It's over." He hits him with the Attitude Adjustment. 1 2 3 John Cena wins.

After Cena leaves, Undertaker sits up really quickly like he does to get a huge pop from the crowd. It's an amazing moment and the celebration of a 26 year long career that will forever be remembered. The Undertaker goes down on one knee and does his tongue thing with the hand up as the crowd chants "Thank You Taker." His theme song begins to play as he walks up the entrance ramp one last time. Before disappearing he raises his arm one more time before emerging back stage never to be seen again.

And that's how I think WWE should book John Cena vs The Undertaker.
Until next time,
Devon Wizard
